A Simple
Exercise for Perception
The Importance of Deep Breathing
In Conjunction with
Meditation
It has
been found that people can reach greater points of
concentration in prayer and eliminate the influences
that distract their mind, thru correct breathing.
Actually, you can shift the level of your awareness and
your state of mind thru changing the rhythm of your
breathing.
All
that we know of life is built upon an understanding that
every item of matter has its own frequency of vibration,
and thru controlled breathing you can virtually control
certain aspects of your own vibration. Anyone who
wishes to obtain any degree of control, whether it is
concerning his spiritual or physical health, can do so
through properly approaching his breathing during times
of meditation.
Do not
underestimate the significance of the speed and rhythm
of your breathing, for the alteration of your breathing
can produce amazing effects. Proper breathing can help
you in waiting on the Lord, and bring to you other
physical releases.
While
breathing, the mind should be focused upon that which
you want from the Lord. In conjunction with your
controlled, rhythmic breathing, you need to visualize
what it is you are looking for; hold that
visualization, and do not doubt that you will have what
you have set your spirit upon. Any doubt or conflicting
signals will greatly deter the manifestation process.
This application of controlled, slow breathing, coupled
with visualization, can give you great immunity in
almost any spiritual battle. See yourself clothed in
His presence, because the truth is that you are, and the
more you set your spirit upon the truths conveyed to you
in scripture, or that which has come to you in prayer,
the more the reality or truth will displace the lie and
illusion.
The Rate of Breathing
We
normally breathe from 16 to 18 breathes per minute. As
you slow down the rate of breathing to 10 to 12 breaths
per minute, you will find that it will become very hard
to feel excited, irritable, or nervous. If you can
reduce your breathing to a deep, slow, rhythm of 10
breathes per minute, for five minutes, your brain will
become very clear and focused. Many of the conflicting
vibrations and thoughts which we allow to pass through
our mind and body will have been canceled out by the
rhythmic, powerful beat brought about by slower
breathing. By this very simple process you will be able
to eliminate the distractions and wanderings of your
mind.
Your
most effective deep breathing can only be attained if
done through you nose, on the inhale, and out through
your mouth, on the exhale. Steadily, quietly, regularly
without strain, and preferably, in a quiet place. It is
also not suggested to enter into a period of waiting on
the Lord or meditation right after eating.
Once
again, it is important to remember to visualize as you
enter into this level of meditation and waiting on God.
He is more close to you than your breath, and as you
enter into a state of deep meditation, know that you are
aligning yourself with His omnipotence, His power, His
protection, His divinity, and as you breathe in, you are
drawing these realities to you.
To Attain Greater
Perception & Clairvoyance...
The
more "in-harmony" you become, the more attuned you will
be to the spiritual realm, and God's presence. The
slower the rate of your breathing, the greater the
control you will have over the vibratory activities of
every aspect of your being. According to different
articles published on meditation, if your rate of
breathing can be slowed to 3 or 4 breathes per minute,
then what begins to happen is a subduing of all of your
bodily vibrations to such an extent that they cease to
cause "clutter' or conflicting signals. In addition to
bringing all of your bodily vibrations to bear, this
slower rhythmic breathing has a broadening affect upon
the 6th chakra or "third eye" as some cultures refer to
it, and you will find the very subtle and delicate
psychic and spiritual perception will begin to open up. |
