The Mark of His Sons
Everyone has their own perception of what the
scriptures refer to when they speak of the mark of
the beast, but what about the mark of His sons. Here is perhaps a different slant for you
to consider.
Revelation 3:18 is a scripture that speaks about our
eyesight. Let me quote: "I advise you to buy from Me
gold refined by fire, that you may become rich, and
white garments, that you may clothe yourself, and that
the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and
EYESALVE to anoint your eyes, that you may see".
The
anointing upon the eyes speaks of an ability to see, and
an ability to perceive accurately is one of the most
critical areas that exists for the believer in this day.
In the same breath, it is also very important that we
never take what we have from God for granted; for the
moment that we feel that we have God "wired" and fully
understand just what He is doing, it is in that moment
of jeopardy that you stand to lose what you have. God is
moving on, and so we too must continue to expand, grow,
and stay pliable, new wineskins able to bear the new
wine that God would bring. (Matthew 9:17) You
can look back at the history of Christianity to see what
a failure the church has been from that perspective.
Every time God wanted to bring something new, it always
caused division, sides would be taken, lines were drawn.
And so you had the old order persecute those that
continued to move on into the new thing that God was
doing.
How
many of you recall what happened at the turn of the
century? It was about 1907, and although it began
happening around the world, I recall it from the stories
of what happened in Los Angeles. There were groups of
believers seeking God, because they knew there was
something more that was available that they did not
have. They were seeking the baptism of the Spirit, as
the Lord had begun to reveal to them, based on the day
of Pentecost. And so, in the early 1900's, around a
place called Azusa Street, began an outpouring of the
Spirit that sent shockwaves around the world --
shockwaves to those who were not prepared to embrace
something new that God was doing. And for years,
literally years that followed, those initial believers
were branded as worshipers of the devil. That this
"baptism" thing was of the occult. And yet believers
around the world began to come alive to the Spirit, and
truly began experiencing a day of Pentecost in their
lives. History will bear this out, but it took more than
30 years for conventional Christianity to "open up" and
accept this baptism experience as being "of God". And
yet to this day you still have many churches who will
not accept this very basic experience that began almost
100 years ago.
Since the 40's, God has continued bringing a restoration
of many new truths for His people to embrace, and,
more and more, we see more churches and
more belief systems, because people have a hard time
accepting something new. They want God in a box.
And God will not be in a box. The travesty of
Christianity is that you have so many groups, believing
so many different aspects of what they have seen of God,
yet not willing to go any further. The rise in churches
in this past 100 years is not a testimony to man’s
attempt to disciple the world, it is a witness of
judgment against man himself, for his choice in not
following on after what God was trying to bring forth,
and thus we have seen the rise of more and more
denominations. Everyone takes a part of the pie, but
when God gets in your face, and confronts you with
something more, which usually means it will cost you
giving up more of yourself, then they stop, and draw the
line. God, "we will go thus far, and no further". And so
God’s quest to find those who will truly follow the
lamb wither-so-ever He goeth, continues......
Our
progress is directly related to our perception; because
If you can’t see it (the provision), you won’t reach for
it. If you do not know the hour of your visitation, you
will not possess it.
Perception is a commodity highly revered in "spiritual
circles", one that is sorely in need, and people would
kill for it, and we are constantly admonished.... "guard
what you have".....
In
the scriptures it speaks of the mark of the beast, and
the mark of God’s sons. Take a moment to read these
scriptures:
4
And they were told that they should not hurt the grass
of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but
only the men who do not have the seal of God on their
foreheads. Rev 9:4
16
And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich
and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be
given a mark on their right hand, or on their forehead
Rev 13:16 (speaking of the beast)
9
And another angel, a third one, followed them, saying
with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his
image, and receives a mark on his forehead or
upon his hand, he also will drink of the wine of the
wrath of God... Rev 14:9-10a
4
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and
judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of
those who had been beheaded because of the testimony of
Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had
not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not
received the mark upon their forehead and upon their
hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ
for a thousand years. Rev 20:4
14:1 And I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on
Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four
thousand, having His name and the name of His Father
written on their foreheads. Rev 14:1
4
and they shall see His face, and His name shall be on
their foreheads. Rev 22:4
17
Therefore the Lord will afflict the scalp of the
daughters of Zion with scabs, And the LORD will make
their foreheads bare." Is 3:17
Many of us have probably read these scriptures before,
but what they speak of is perception. The forehead is an
area of our body that deals with perception. The ancient
Chinese and oriental religions speak of the "3rd eye",
and in new age circles today, there is much talk about
"chakras"; which are energy vortex centers on our
bodies. The chakra on the forehead is also known as the
3rd eye. Have you ever seen the women from India walking
around with that red dot on their forehead? To them, in
their religion, they understand that their spiritual
eyesight is centered and focused at that point in their
being, although I personally don’t see the advantage to
having a red dot on the forehead! The forehead,
none-the-less, deals with the perception of an
individual.
Just as the mark of the beast is on the "forehead", so
the mark of the sons of God, is on the forehead.
The sealing of God’s sons is through their
ability to see and to hear. This is a very
individual experience, no one can do this for you.
So,
in practical terms, what does this mean? I do not think
it means that you will walk around with some physical
"mark" on your forehead, what it does mean is that those
whom God has called and sealed unto Him, will HAVE a
perception and level of sight that clearly separates
them from those who have become darkened in their
understanding. It is not enough to just go along with
the crowd. The whole issue in these days is a personal
one between you and the Lord. An ability to see means so
much more than just a nice revelation here and there; it
is a deep understanding and ability to see the Lord on a
dimension that will literally "change" you into His
likeness. To those who walk with the mark of the beast,
it will not appear very apparent, because devoid of
perception, everything will seem just fine. But to those
who have been sealed on their foreheads with a deep
insight and ability to see, there will be more than just
revelation which comes to those people, more than just
insight, but a deep transformation. Because the
scriptures tell us that when you see Him, as He is, you
will be changed into His likeness (1Jn3:2).
The mark of the beast may manifest
on a physical plane with 666 and computers and all types
of things, but if and when that does happen, be rest
assured, the game will
already be over. |
