To Know the Love of God
A Late Evening
Meditation
I write this to those
who have died in the faith, awaiting their release and
transformation; the completion of the work of sonship.’
It is interesting how
many concepts we have as we sojourn in this path to sonship. I
know the scriptures say that it has not entered the heart of man
those things God has prepared for those who love Him. And I
know the scripture that says, My ways are not your ways, neither
My thoughts are your thoughts….
We have come to
understand that as long as we dwell within the soul that it is
virtually impossible to fathom what God is truly doing, both
within the larger picture of His plan in the earth, but also,
the depths of what He is doing within His sons.
We cannot fathom
because within the structure of the mind of the soul it is
impossible to know God’s thoughts, for we do not have the
capability of even grasping the truth. It can be likened to the
presence of the Lord; for we know the Lord dwells in
unapproachable light. Although we are the sons of Light, we are
still in the process of coming into His presence.
What does it mean to
come into His presence. It means in one respect that you have
experienced a deep enough transfiguration that His presence
becomes something attainable.
Where are we headed?
Whether this side of the veil or the other side, we are headed
into a life in His presence, a life in the unapproachable light
of His countenance. Perhaps we have considered that if we
transition to the other side of the veil, that this becomes
accessible. But we realize that is not really so, for it still
remains for the work of the purification to be completed.
Whether spirit, or spirit, soul and body; in whatever fashion we
may find ourselves presently.
As the layers are
removed from each of His sons, there are many changes that
happen. A deeper awareness. A greater clarity. A new set of
eyes and ears. A whole and entirely new life where your anchor
point becomes spirit. A change within the structure of your
physical manifestation, that no longer reflects the soul, but a
body that begins to reflect the spirit of who you are.
As much as we may
love the Lord, we have yet to enter the deeper levels of this
experience.
What happens when the
layers and the shackles are removed? More than any other
release I can imagine, I believe we are able to experience our
deep love for Him.
The song of Solomon
was either a mistake to be added by the Council of Nicea, or, it
is truly a depiction of a relationship that we are to have, a
relationship so encompassing, so entire, that even in our
moments of deepest worship, we are still light years away from
grasping how deep this love relationship is anchored within our
hearts.
Perhaps the greatest
unveiling to the sons of God in this hour, is not the unveiling
of a knowledge of the Lord and a knowledge of who they are and
have always been; but an unveiling of this deep and intense
love relationship with the Lord and the Father, that has been –
for a short season- hidden or veiled by the flesh nature.
How deep is our love
for the Lord. Deeper than the deepest ocean. A depth that
transcends everything that we are.
Is this something we
can fathom? No, not from the soul level. This is beyond
emotion; this is a love beget of the spirit that is not wrapped
in the emotions or perceptions of the soul. A realization of a
love so far deeper and greater, something which has been a deep
reality within our spirit. Only waiting for a time of unveiling
– for with the unveiling of the Lord Jesus Christ, within the
sons, comes an unveiling of this love which truly surpasses our
ability to understand at this juncture. But it is coming. A
love so far beyond what we have known, so much more
encompassing. A love that truly envelops every aspect of what
we are.
What will drive the
events and changes that are yet to unfold in the earth and every
other created level; this love of God that has been beyond what
we have understood.
